you're being very reductionist. nobody is saying "i've spent more hours, therefore i > u". some people get into music beyond merely listening to the artist's youtube uploads. i mean: background reading, studying, dj'ing/producing of their own, playing in bands, being an active part of a 'scene' of music - be it instrumental, electronic, rock venues, clubs, promoting, online discussion, whatever - actively pursuing musical interests, and so on. music is a pretty huge part of my life. i'm not saying i know more about electronic music than you because i've spent more hours; i'm saying i know a lot more because i know a fucking lot more. it's not exactly something to brag over, or conversely get butthurt over. just don't make stupid comments and then expect people to take you credibly.Roc18 wrote:
