... just get pirated software. Yes, that's right. If they don't fix that crap within the next few days, that was the last time I've bought a "product" from them. Cause if they think they can steal our money (50€ for BF2, 30€ for SF & 10€ for EF = 90€), I'll think it's ok if I steal the POS they are producing. And I urge you to do the same. I mean with every other product other than games, if it doesn't work (and being disconnected from a server shortly after you connected is a "doesn't work" with Multiplayer games), you can get your money back, but they seem to have realised this is a great way to steal money from people without getting into trouble. So I think it's morally ok to take their products without paying in revenge.

That would have another great effect: Because they don't get money, they can't afford to pay their programmers anymore -> they lose their jobs -> they can't afford anything to eat -> all bad DICE programmers die -> great.

DISCLAIMER: I don't support software piracy in general and consider it theft. Don't steal products from other software companies other that EA/DICE!!!!

Haha I don't even have a Dell. Great for you if it works, but if it doesn't work for most others, it's still retarded.

Woot! Yet another fanboy.

DICE tech supports fix (on another thread) suggests to install the full patch instead of the incremental, which they wrote... So don't act like someone is a fucking eejit, or has a shit computer when the Developer turns round and says 'well, this file we made might work better than this other inferior file we made'.

I need a hobby that doesn't involve telling someone they are a twat.

Yes, you bought something voluntarily and now its stealing. I suppose Ford stole your car money? If you havnt got the self-control not to buy expanison packs before you do some research, then you shouldnt be buying anything.

If I had known that they'd realease a compulsory patch that turns this game non-functional, I wouldn't have bought it. Trust me.

I buy a car.
As time passes they stop manufacturing a certain part of my engine.
The new part of my engine requires the blood of virgins.
I live in Nottingham, I can't find any virgins.

It's not about self control. It's about seeing the future, if you have an accurate method of seeing the fuckups of DICE and EA ahead of time, as well as their (lol) 'fixes' (lol) please, PM me, I'm interested to know, then I can copyright the names ahead of time, and save the world from more of their BSE powered tripe.

So, just because a game doesnt work due to a patch - you think it's fine to buy pirated software, which is stealing, to rip off that company?

Ok, next time my car goes in for an MOT and they tell me its fucked up, I think I'll steal one of their cars to get back at them.
Sound OK?

If you are so wound up about this patch for BF2, you try CS:Source under Valve...believe me, patch 1.3 is nothing compared to the foul ups that valve release.
And, after leaving that game, I see that every games company release untested patches and that a lot of the community complain endlessly about it, for whatever reason.

Maybe we should go back to the old days, where companies didnt provide patches for games. Such as SOF2 V1.00 - no anti-cheat support, left developer wallhacks, lightmaps, fullbright modes - the lot, available to any online player. Result: hackers amass.
How did they fix it? Release a new version of the game to buy, or a patch that was NOT mandatory to download to make the game work. V1.00 continues to run today, with over 400servers in it full of hackers.

In my experience, all software companies release patches for games and programs that are full of bugs. Whether its games companies such as EA/DICE, Valve, Raven, Microsoft (oops) or even AceCad who make our CAD systems at work which is used in a proper office environment for drawings of buildings - it is loaded with bugs and problems.
Nobody will ever be perfect, and nor will any piece of software. Apart from the "Hello World!" programs maybe.
Yet people still go out, yes, including you and me alike, and buy games expecting them to be perfect.
Get used to it - itll never happen.

There's a difference between a car dieing from wear and a car that doesn't even run in the first place isn't there? And I bet you'd still be the calm guy you are if you bought a car that seemed fine but as soon as you have bought it, it just stops working and you can't even get your money back.

And there's also a difference between a game that is wide open for hackers and a non-functional game. Cause with #2 it'S only the developer's fault.

Btw, I wonder why console games never have such serious bugs... must be a funny coincidence...
