So I was playing on Gulf of Oman and I'm on the MEC team. I keep seeing this guy that looks like an MEC soldier (he has one of their skins and when he died his pack had the MEC symbol) but he showed as an enemy. I couldn't see his name unless I moused over him and his named turned red just like an enemy's. He WAS on the other team according to this screenie. I thought this had to be some kind of hack, he is able to somehow be on the USMC team but have an MEC skin. His name is qDA|CEp it's the last name on the USMC list, I wasn't able to get a screen of the text showing I killed him but you can see he is dead at the time. Has anyone else witnessed this?

When i was playing early yestarday my own brother was an MEC with me and i killed him because he too showed up as red, but he was actually on MEC cause 1 he told was, and 2 i turned around and looked for myself. Even when he was killed by USMC my screen showed him as being team killed. And on the score screen he was listed as USMC.

But it turns out it is just a bug in the game, so more than likely it is not a hack. I think its been out since 1.2 if not before. I remember it happening from time to time. So i wouldn't worry to much.

probably the red blue bug. yesterday i had a clan mate of mine on the other team but i walked over to him and he was green like a squad mate. it even showed him in my squad, but he was indeed on the other team. bf2 has more bugs than a roach motel

Dude this is an old bug. I've witnessed it several times in the past where a person on your team shows up in red. Did you ever kill him and get a teamkill? It happens all the time.

Try doing a search for the red/ blue bug glitch. I'm sure you'll find a lot more useful info than I'm giving you.

how about you experience the glitch first hand before flaming him?

this is the same old red name glitch. Even his name will appear in the enemy's roster according to your client. for everyone else he will be on your team. If you killed him, it probably would have said 'you[G36C]him', but to everyone else they see 'you[teamkills]him' and you probably would be punished for it. This glitch will make the total players on a full 32 man server look like  --USMC : 17 -- MEC: 15 --. This obviously is impossible, but your client is RED NAME GLITCHING.

It's just that you guys keep talking about the red/blue glitch, and none of you have said you experienced someone with the wrong skin.

Let me get this Straight.
You, (JackRussel1) were on the MEC, and you saw someone else with a red name, who was apparently on your team because he had a MEC skin/pack, do you know why you saw this? Because HE WAS ON YOUR TEAM! he has not got the wrong skin...
as Havazn has previously stated your client has mistaken him for an enemy, thus he appears on the enemy scoreboard, (Congrats to EA for not fixing this in 1.30...) seriously how can you not understand this?
