I liked Porno, they should make a movie out of that one.

Not nearly as funny as the first two. I laughed pretty hard at a few scenes, but they were few and far between. They broke away from the formula, probably because everyone complained that 2 was just 1 all over again, but while that was true, 2 was just as funny as 1 all over again. This one is not. The after-the-credits scene was better than the whole movie.
2 was shit compared to the first though.

he's been writing the same book basically for his entire career, so i don't really even know why they need to make more than the trainspotting movie. he's pretty much the UK's bret easton ellis: potential for one good hollywood cross-over/mass appeal hit, and after that... well after that he has a series of identical books for the hardcore reader who wants more of much the same. thankfully his twitter presence isn't as annoying as B.E.E's.

Oh god.  Watched it because I couldn't believe it could be as bad as someone made it out to be.  It was worse.  It was actually a bigger piece of shit than Lady in the Water and Valhalla Rising.  I think the scene where the people are taking turns shooting themselves was audio taken from the audience a pre-screening of the movie.

If you enjoy M. Knight Shamalalalaman you should definitely check out "The last airbender".  I have not watched the animated show but it is truly one of the worst films to be made in recent history.  An epic level of shittiness.  I think it has an under 10 percent rating from rotten tomatoes.

I actually think some of his early films are pretty good.  But hes a one trick pony.

The sixth sense -- one of the best horror films ever made
Signs -- for some reason the critics didn't like this one.  I loved it.
The Village -- still pretty badass.  Not as good as the first two but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Lady in the Water -- had some redeeming qualities but was pretty forgettable.  Not really a shitty movie, just kind of meh

Contagion 9/10.

I absolutely love pandemic movies. This is definitely one of the best too. Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kate Winslet put out a great movie.

Sixth Sense didn't really feel like a horror film to me, but I liked it. Worth maybe two repeats. The Village and Lady in the Water were forgettable, at least for me. The Happening seemed...slow. Unbreakable was my favorite of is in that I can actually go back and watch it without it being spoiled by the fact that I've already watched it.

Agreed 1000000%.  (Someone screenshot that)

There were several scenes in The Happening that were bad simply due to bad directing, whats more, I had never seen bad directing be THAT obvious before.  He actually made decent actors seem like their last gig was an inner city school play of Cats.  There were two scenes that stood out in my mind.

The first being when the train stops and Marky Mark walks up to the conductors and asks them where they are and they reply "Filbert, Pennsylvania" to which Mark replies "WHY ARE YOU GIVING ME ALL OF THESE USELESS PIECES OF INFORMATION, JUST TELL US WHATS GOING ON!!!".  It's like the two shots didn't go together or Shymamalamalan had cut out a scene where more dialogue had happened leading up to that out burst.

The second being when Marky Mark finds the abandoned truck in the middle of a field and turns on the radio to hear a journalist speculating that it could be a leak at a nuclear plant causing the deaths.  The other people in his group are at least 50 yards away and couldn't have heard that radio, yet in the next scene when they are in the house Zooey asks him if he really thinks it could be a leak at a nuclear plant.  How did she know that?  If she didn't, why would she randomly bring it up in the NEXT scene.  Bad directing.

I told my wife that Six Sense was a good movie and she didn't believe me because M Night Shymalananaalan directed it.  I hadn't seen his later movies so I didn't believe he could be that bad.

The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were the best. After that it seemed like he was trying to one-up himself with every movie he made, and they simply weren't very memorable to me.
