Can no longer join squads?

Hey, just need a little help here.

Ever since I patched up i haven't been able to join squads or even create them for that matter, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and wether i should re patch in order to try and correct the problems.

All suggestions welcome,

you cant join squads when your dead only when your alive

Or you joined a server that either disabled squad creation and/or is experiencing problems with the feature. I've been in a couple servers that were either experiencing issue or disabled it for a different type of game play. (Prior to 1.2 patch)
