Torso, unless I'm a sniper, or if they haven't seen me yet, then I aim for the head. If they're in a Vodnik/Humvee, I run around to the back and aim for their legs.

I always aim for the torso since I usually use teh G3. Unless I have time to aim for the head, then I do.

Center mass of the chest because the recoil usually goes up and hits the head.

Depends on the gun and the range, and whether or not the target is moving.

Sniper - at EXTREMELY long ranges (>200), naturally, you don't have much of a chance at even making a hit unless you aim for the torso. At regular long ranges (<100) I always aim for the head like all of the other snipers, that is, if the target is stationary.

With every thing else, it depends whether the target is stationary. If it is, I'll aim for the head. If not, than I probably won't have time to aim for the head anyway and just fire away.

sniper = head

close combat = jump on ground and shoot there legs out. people are so stupid they go prone as well *bullet in head*

long range (not sniping) = mainly for the body

I might actuall start aiming for the head. I never used to worry about it.

Upper torso/(head)

Im still big into CS and everyone knows that its best to aim for upper torso as it will more likely result in a hs. Of course you could aim for the head but then your taking a chance of missing. Even if you fire while aiming at the upper-torso and miss the head, You are still guaranteed some damage.

However, with BF2 i find that recoil is very much all over the place so its better to aim for the torso. If you fail to kill the person you are firing at, you still may recieve a kill-damage-assist. Aiming for the head and missing completly and then getting killed for it, gives you an un-satisfactory death as you have accomplished f*** all.

i just figured out that it does take more shots to kill when u shoot the legs. i tried and SVD with an idle person on a server and it took 4 shots to the legs
