I also have a corolla. I'm just sick of iphone and itunes and the apple environment in general and liked the nexus tablet i had before i cracked the screen on it. I've been eyeballing the galaxy note, just trying to decide between the Note 4 and 5. I think i'll probs go with the 5.
I bought the note 4 instead. Same specs, same camera, but a removable back so I can swap out SD cards.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Galaxy Note 5. Yeah it's big, but I love it so far.

And I agonized too. If I spend money I want the latest and greatest but there's no difference besides the storage.

That feel when 3 CDs from around the world arrive on the same day
Thank god, someone else still buys CDs too.

feeling is measurably 2.73x better when it's an international vinyl haul.
I gave away my entire vinyl collection.
OK it was one album - Jean-Miichel Jarre Oxygene/Equinoxe double album special edition. I went straight from tapes to CDs.

one tiny upshot of the revival in vinyl's fortunes is that people make a lot of effort with it now, to justify the increased cost.
i regularly get deliveries from a small label run from rural germany by an art collective, with custom artwork. the last EP i bought was pressed in an edition of 250 and every artwork was slightly different, because it was crayoned by schoolchildren. it's neat-o.

If the discs aren't pressed from recycled fetish-wear and sex toys I will be disappointed.

that's berlin's scene and i'm pretty sure you could find that sort of thing if you wanted.
not really into bourbons but I have been drinking a Japanese single malt lately that is aged in bourbon casks and it adds a real nice sweetness and spice.

Was it Nikka?
I like Buffalo Trace Bourbons. Woodford Reserve isn't bad either. There's another one i had, i think it had Jackson in the name? Maybe it was Jefferson? It was really good

The Doors are terrible
As long as we're on this kick, I bought a Macallan 12 as a Christmas gift for one of my friends on recommendation from other Scotch aficionados I know. At the price I paid, it was apparently a steal and I wish I'd bought another one for myself.
5 2200 uf 10V capacitors. Whatchu know bout dat?
Tanfoglio Match LE 9mm Duotone
It'll be a nice starter gun for WA1500 Auto
2nd Hand A$850, if I get anywhere - and I'm not really expecting to as I'm only doing this match for fun - I'll shell out $2500 for a proper gun.
