Applied for a full time position with the RFS. Application was successful and physical testing is tomorrow morning, interviews may be after that. I have already done the most stressful part of the physical assessment about 8 weeks ago for my specialist trip to tasmania and I feel like I am the strongest candidate. Doens't stop me being less worried though.

There are 8 positions in my area, though it is a State Government position so there will be other applicants elsewhere. Hopefully they go to jobs in their area and I get priority for here.

Another customer, who we have also helped out of a hole of their own making, has now moved the goalposts on a very difficult project.
We asked him very clearly at the beginning if he wanted a specific feature, because if he did it would be as good as impossible and there would be no point starting the project.
Now after a lot of effort the design is complete, we just need to order and assemble the parts and we're done, and he wants the impossible feature added - at no extra cost and with no extension to an already difficult deadline - and its obvious he either knew or should have known he was going to want it.
This could be the final straw.

I just went and asked two people who I talk to/help once or twice a day and they are happy to help

I'll put my boss (who would give a good review IF he was okay with my leaving) but I'll put a note that says to only contact him if I'm seriously considered for the position
