BF2S Forums Artillery hack. Is it clientside or serverside or both?

No control over the arty? I say they lied (OMIGOSH, REALLY?!?!?!)

Did all these commanders have anything in common, EX: Tag?

If not, seems weird that all of them would happen to use 'it' (the hack) during the same game, after a guy who got kicked for doing it right before them.

Ive seen it before ,they go commander then resign using a hack and wala they have continuous arty when they are not in the commander spot.Oh and its just says [artillery]name.So its impossible to tell.

I beleive you because like I said, this went on for many rounds through many commanders with no similar tags or anything. One poor guy was a coporal or something that was so excited to get commander so he could get his basic badge and he was flipping out because he had no control over anything. Sad part was, was that he got commander because nobody was gonna touch that position with a koala's dick right about then.

I continued playing for the sheer curiosity of who was gonna get nailed, but no one did. And as I said, multiple people got kicked from the server and it never stopped.

ya we found out who it was wen he started showing it off and saying shit like i can make supply crates follow and such

what about PB?? isn't it working?

I just saw this too in Karkand 24/7 Straferight.com.

The guys name was HFwDiablo(GER) and I got a screenshot of it.

I know the screenshots only show him using artillery once, but I guess its back-up of his name and you can read other people's comments on it.

I came to the forums to research this exact phenomenon.

I just got of 24/7 city maps straifright..like 10 mins ago so its probably still going on

Also just got done artying about 40 teammates...the catch

I never ordered arty strikes nor was I the one dropping my vehicles or supplies..before my bar was full the assets were already used sometimes multiple times.

On to the next map a nice round of sharrqui.

I didn't want to assume command after the last round so I let another guy take it. He does an arty strike and I ask him if he ordered it because it included 3 TK's. He does't answer. Happens again this time he gets 4 Tk's. He comes on VOIP and is totally confused. Well obviously some ppl were not on VOIP. Next thing  you know there is a command for all units to head to one position. I head over and see nothing. But all the USMC was there. I fall back real fast and Type out its a TRAP!! I was too late an arty strike TK'd almost all the team.

This needs to be fixed quick.

I know there's a hack by MSX that lets you do this, but I have heard that there is also a glitch with 1.3 that makes artillery reload super quick. I guess DICE wants to discourage people buying hacks and puts it in the game proper!

Yeah, it's a commander hack, the only way to tell is if someone becomes commander then quits really quick, you have to pay attention to the commander screen if he is on your team, if not use bf2cc if you are server owner. The only way to get rid of this hack is to restart the server unfortunately. Sometime you can pinpoint what team he is on at least, because there will be major arty kills to one team or major crates protecting the armor. But once its on....its on until server reset. Why do people have to cheat?
