well that's not really an apples to apples comparison is it? On one hand, lobbyists are being welcomed back to the democratic party. One the other, lobbyists were never disallowed from donating to the republican party.

Donald Trump not having raised as much personally for his campaign as Hillary had by the 3rd week of June explains your point how? The RNC is still getting lobbyist money. The article you linked regarding lobbyists coming back into the picture for the DNC did mention how companies have been hesitant to sponsor/donate money for fear of being associated with Donald's inflammatory rhetoric.

Anyway the GOP raised a crazy amount of money this election through Super Pacs. Around $300 ml. compared to the democrats 90 ml. Jeb raised 160 ml. alone. Democrats make money on limited donation and individual donations. The democrats and Hillary aren't doing anything out of the ordinary.

I've been on the same train since i've been about 17. Why would this election be the one that broke me? Every election i've been eligible for has been a disappointment for me personally. I did see a chance to support someone from the 2 major parties as a great thing, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I'm not going to compromise my own morals and worldview to support someone just because he or she is less of a piece of shit than the other. At the end of the day, it's still a piece of shit.

You said if Trump has any links to the Russian government, he should be prosecuted. In the context of legalities, that is like saying if someone shot someone else, they should be prosecuted. You could switch out "trump" with any name and switch out "links to Russia" with any other crime and it would be the same statement. Yes, if someone (especially the president) commits a crime, they should be prosecuted. Why make an assumption that Trump is in cahoots with Russia without entertaining the very likely possibility that Clinton is in cahoots with a different foreign entity? They both have plenty of evidence to suggest they are influenced by foreign entities. You just chose to run with the Trump one because of his recent statements, and I called you out on it because it was a stretch of a comment.

Did anyone watch her speech at the DNC last night? I liked it. Her delivery was pretty dry but I liked the message and how it contrasted with Trump's. Obama's speech the night before was the best. Tim Kaine speech was pretty lame.

Democrats are money raising machines. They're in control in the most wealthy states and milk their local industries like crazy. For a party that always talks about the need for campaign finance reform and overturning citizens united, they sure don't have a problem with taking wall street and hollywood money. They're fucking hypocrites. At least the republicans are honest. Bernie Sanders financed his campaign like the democrats would if they were actually honest and ethical and not just looking for spoils.

Bringing back lobbyists is Hillary stating that we're now ready to return to business as usual, with open corruption ruling in DC. She couldn't be more tone deaf to why everyone absolutely despises her.
