Someone made a post about problems with patch 1.3 and I defended it off one time playing...Well I was wrong after a few days of playing the new patch here is what I've found.

I cannot play longer than 30 mins or so without being booted to desktop. It is getting so frustrating! Before this patch this very rarely happened. Sometimes it boots me before I can even join the game.

Oh well this patch screwed up the game for me.

This is in the wrong section and probably other threads I could have searched but I'm upset and frankly I am pissed at EA/Dice.

The game is unplayable for me now.

Uninstall > Re-instal > patch - 1.3 full.

Worked for me .... no problems now.

Mine works fine, But at times just before joining a server i get dropped to desktop, Other than that and the darn AA missiles are hitting friendly more that they did before or it seems anyway

So your saying it's because of the incremental Death? Can you make it easy on me and tell me how to uninstal 1.3 or areing you saying uninstal whole game?

I would say uninstall the hole game. Reinstall and then the full 1.3 patch. Worked for me

Uninstal BF2 completely as well as any add-ons etc, then re-install and patch using full. I nerfed mine after i installed the light patch and didn't re-name my .exe (had it as BF21). Installed the 1.3 full and kept crashing to desktop, so i uninstalled everything. No probs so far.

Yes it seems to have worked great, so far so good!

Only problem I forgot my password so I had to start over. I just made Gunny and had just over 8k points.

Oh well back the Pvt.

Just quit, its so much easier to do...Wait for something else besides 2142. My advice. GOod times guys. See you when I see you....More than likely not here or battlefield 2.

I mean I hate that, 8k points and all unlocks but 4. Oh well at least I'll start off better...a little anyway.

I am still having CTD problems since patch 1.3...Just wandering who else is? I have checked many BF2 forums and it seems to be an issue with quite a few. I noticed some servers even have a warning that there server may crash during game play since 1.3.

Hopefully they will fix it soon for those of us having problems.

Most of the time it's OK for me. It's just not as stable as it once was. For me and a few 100 others, maybe thousands not sure of course how many.

It may be a dual core issue. I know I love dual core for sure. I download stuff while I play, and it goes as smooth as silk. But not since 1.3

You can retrieve your old account via Gamespy, (if I remember correctly go to BF2 support and find the option for forgotten passwords, that will take you to gamespy where you can set a new password for your original account.)
