Who will Hillary pick I wonder?Jay wrote:
Obama's choice for the supreme court sucked as bad as Sotomayor does.AussieReaper wrote:
Well it's going to bite them now. They refused Obama's choice for the Supreme Court. And he compromised in his pick and they still refused.
I doubt Hillary will be as accommodating.
Comey interfered with the election and has undermined the FBI as an institution. He has been unprofessional regarding this whole thing for awhile now. The press conference he gave regarding the e-mails a few months back was bad enough and out of line.Jay wrote:
Yeah, ok. If she wasn't such a shitty person this wouldn't be happening. I think Comey is trying to do the right thing.SuperJail Warden wrote:
This Comey situation with the e-mails just proved that cross party appointments shouldn't be made by democrats. Almost all of the republican party appointments Obama made have turned on him and the democrats at some point. Robert Gates, James Comey, Jon Huntsman, Chuck Hagel. The GOP still refused to work with the administration anyway.
I think the policy of not informing voters of pending investigations, which has apparently been the norm, is really fucked up and should be changed. How many crooked assholes were reelected under false pretenses because their buddies in power swept it under the rug? I care less about tax returns being made public than I do about pending criminal investigations. It's reasonable to not want to elect someone that is a potential felon, no? She should've been disqualified a long time ago. Viva la Bern!Dilbert_X wrote:

My dad is a Trump supporter only because he really hates Hillary. He argued with me earlier that we should have done a "sneak attack" on Mosul after Trump said it. He was in the military...
He voted for Obama twice? I don't understand what it is about Clinton that makes people so upset.
I find the amount of support for Trump among young people to be strange but not unsurprising. Sub 20 year old seem much more into him that mid to late 20 year olds. I would argue that is because older millennials remember the Bush years and what a mess those were. I would genuinely struggle to find a person with a good opinion of the Bush presidency.DesertFox- wrote:
I think it's people of a certain age. My mom especially hates Hillary Clinton, as do many of the older people I interact with at work. Young people aren't generally enthused, but I've rarely heard someone say they hate her.
For those of us old enough to remember Bill Clinton's presidency, we've been living with her scandals for 25+ years. She's a nasty, grasping, wholly selfish and loathsome human being. I think socialism is infantile and incredibly damaging, but I would've voted for Bernie over her.DesertFox- wrote:

When Trump supporters in real life ask me why I support Clinton I just say "I am not voting for a person but for policies". The response is always "what policies? Obamacare?" and then I just disengage.Dilbert_X wrote:
I think its interesting that people are stupid and selfish enough to vote based on their narrow opinion of the person compared with which person/party they think would run the country better.
I voted for a Catholic conservative, and Bill Clinton is still the best US President of the last 50 years.
She doesn't discuss policy. She regurgitates the incredibly awful Democrat platform. You've heard her personal opinion on nothing this election. Everything has gone through a focus group and a committee before it's reached your ears.SuperJail Warden wrote:

Aside from his incredible corruption and abuse of power, I agree, he was pretty good. He was a trade liberalizing Democrat that shrank the military and balanced the budget. He also tried to push through Hillarycare in his first term though.Dilbert_X wrote:

She has released hundreds of pages of proposed policies on her website and to the media. I know you don't pay attention to that stuff and only watch t.v. and read reason.com though so I don't expect you to know anything beyond that.Jay wrote:

So you believe that she's written hundreds of pages of policy papers and that those are her own beliefs? I got a bridge to sell ya...SuperJail Warden wrote:
