The suicide rates in Finland make me skeptical about using them as a basis for mental health care.

this reminds me of how pop historians like to claim lead in the drinking water lead to the collapse of the roman empire. or that mothers killing their babies lead to crime falling.
Gee I guess that's why lead paint and leaded gasoline is banned now.SuperJail Warden wrote:
a lot of scientist seem obsessed with blaming lead for everything. you know if hitler worked at a gas station people would blame world war 2 on lead gas.
At lower levels of exposure that cause no obvious symptoms, and that previously were considered safe, lead is now known to produce a spectrum of injury across multiple body systems. In particular lead affects children’s brain development resulting in reduced intelligence quotient (IQ), behavioural changes such as reduced attention span and increased antisocial behaviour, and reduced educational attainment

Those aren't thoughts lol, the effects of lead poisoning are extremely well researched. And lead petrol did lead to a rise in lead levels in the bloodstream of people, which also led to an increase in violent crimes, mental illness etc. When it got banned? These figures went down.SuperJail Warden wrote:
i couldn't care less about your thoughts on lead gas.

Well, my grades for fall semester showed up and I'm pleased. All courses passed and decent GPA at the university.
By the way, has anyone ever bothered to edit wikipedia at least once? I was busy looking at Japanese anti-tank weapons of world war 2 and noticed in the type 3 AT grenade article, the redirect for type 99 at grenade lead to the type 99 anti personal grenade instead of the proper link, so I fixed it.
I feel so satisfied at such a minor thing for some reason.
