why is ivanka trump on a regular passenger plane in the lead-up to the inauguration? isn't she one of the most vulnerable and high-profile targets by any crazies? have you seen the security detail on trump? the 24/7 police cordons around trump tower? meanwhile ivanka, arguably the next effective first lady of the USA, is sitting in the blue-collar section of a domestic flight? this is an illuminati plant.

Heckler was a false flag

A lot of right wing Americans enjoy saying how moderate they, the sophisticated voice of reason, are. But they love to talk about stupid things liberal politicians and supporters have said and done as the first and last things in a stupid things conversation.

Always seems to go down sort of like this:

Them: "Did you hear about the liberal who vaguely insulted gun owners?"
Me: "Yes. Did you hear about the frothing Trump supremacist who trapped people in a diner, forced them to listen to his toxic diatribe, and called police when someone splashed water in his face?"
Them: "Oh, that's just an extreme example."

This, over and over. And if I'm not in the mood to be sucked into the rabbit hole, I'm just being the snooty non-Republican friend/relative.

I look forward to the day I don't have to hear about some horrible (but tame in actuality) thing Barack Obama said back in 2008 from someone who downplays or outright refuses to acknowledge Trump's petty enabling of far-right extremists. I don't look forward to hearing them smugly boast about how whiny liberals are being whenever we oppose some noxious Trump policy, after eight years of enduring red whinging and outright temper tantrums.

It is funny listening to how gung ho so many young people are for Trump online. I am old enough to remember the last time a republican was in office. These 15-20 year olds have no idea what the coming GOP assault on their lives is going to be like.

Yeah, and a lot of the young Trump voters cite "protecting freedom of speech" as the reason they voted Trump. They think getting told off by an internet college student is the height of oppression. They have not a clue how stifling American culture used to be. Especially from 01-04/05 when criticism of the wars were loudly shouted down.

I think most of them will end up failing in line and adopting the views of their grandparents as they try to justify how "daddy Trump" is taking away their benefits and messing with their internet.

I'm sure this comes as a surprise to no one, but Fox News watchers are real assholes on the story that Megyn Kelly is leaving to take a gig at NBC. Just all sort of awful Trumpists being abusive.

I suppose the difference for me is that I was able to have civilized conversation with liberal friends and relatives during Junior's presidency. During Obama's, politics was all my conservative ones ever wanted to talk about even if we were discussing something completely unrelated, like to the point where if someone took their parking space earlier in the day it would somehow reflect on Obama's poor quality as a role model or some shit. Or the topic would just outright change non sequitur to their favorite political soapbox item.

I mean I guess it's fair to put these two images up and say that both sides have obnoxious sign-waving Westboro-types, but I don't think it's a very accurate depiction of the big picture.

Why is it disgusting? Pointing at Putin is convenient. He makes a decent bogeyman, but I think it's way more likely that a disgruntled Bernie Bro leaked the emails. Hurts the narrative though.

Obama doesn't have any credibility right now. He's been doing everything under his lame duck power to roadblock Trump since the election. As far as I'm concerned, this is just another one.

Also, and my main reason, is I just don't want to see the old Cold Warriors coming out of the woodwork and gaining any sort of power. They've been waiting for years for an opportunity to rattle the sabers against Russia in order to set up the next round of defense spending when the Iraq and Afghanistan cash cows finally stopped producing. No thanks.
