Depends, some people react to the grain in beer, I can't drink too much cheap lager but proper beer is no issue.

I like cocktails but they can be mostly fruit and ice so they're poor value.

Sangria is a fast way to get fucked up and you won't be consuming 8 beers full of calories.

@Dilbert, cocktails are my go to whenever I go out with groups. Specifically long islands. Guzzle half of one and I am ready to socialize.
