So I had my first day as a substitute teacher today. I had a 4th grade special needs class. The kids had autism.

It wasn't so bad. I liked being appreciated by and relied on by the kids. I would do it again if I had to.

ALL the kids had autism? Weird that they would have a regular sub in a special needs class. You need a lot of credentials to teach special ed.

I was with a group of teaching assistants in an autistic classroom. 5 total workers for 5 aspies. Sometimes one of them could take up the entire staff's attention so everyone is needed. There was only one problem kid that needed to be Hitler'd in my opinion.
