2tb ssd for media. It actually fits in my case which is too small for a video card and a big hdd.
SSDs have gotten so cheap. It's beautiful.
A 1 TB SSD today goes for the same price I bought a 250 GB SSD in 2016. This again goes back to my point about what the hell is going on with GPUs. The 2019 20 series Nvidia equivalent of a 2016 GTX 1080 launched earlier this year for a little less than the 1080 did four years ago.

On that, I know I said I'd buy a 2070, but I just haven't yet. If they were like $100 cheaper I'd have had one already. I feel like part of my tech upgrade budget was better used with 20 TB to play with now without having to spend a lot of time scrimping on what I keep stored locally.
If SSDs were slightly better on $/TB I might have opted for a couple of 4 TB drives and still been satisfied.
..
On an unrelated note, I keep seeing 2019 articles about how the new Macs that came out recently "will use" Intel 10th-gen CPUs, but they're currently 8th and 9th on the specs pages. Rumors that it'll appear in Q2 2020 I guess, but who knows.
The difference isn't a make or break deal, but it would be nice if Apple could keep its hardware selection a bit more in step with competitors like Dell or Lenovo. ThinkPad P73 with 64-128GB RAM and a Quadro card, while not intel 10th, can currently be configured for a sale price around the same range, and doesn't look like it came off the set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles like some other high-price PC laptops. Nice for folks not specifically after some of the Apple-exclusive programs.

apple use the -H versions of the intel processors and use their own mainboard clock/power stepping to get the most out of their power sources. it's hard to directly cross-compare them to dell competitors which have huge power bricks and 3.5hr battery lives.
in the last generation it was also a source of huge frustration as some of their 8-core processor set-ups were being massively under clocked and bugged out (sometimes to < 1 Ghz). a lot of returned laptops over that debacle.
apple have developed their own processor at this point and you can expect to see intel being ditched altogether in late 2020.

Well like I said it's not a make or break (not by a long shot), but it would have been nice to have some tighter parity with PCs over the years.
RTX 2070 Super. Without a coupon code, I wouldn't have. With it, I paid less than I could have, but a still bit more than I'd have liked. Still, that expenditure is over and it can swap to a new platform next year (along with my SSDs and new high-capacity drives). No remorse.
Also helps that there are a number of computers I operate that get the hand-me-down video cards.

A 1 TB Samsung SSD. Since Win 7's support is running out I might as well install Win 10 on a big drive and move everything over on the break. I am putting the SSD with Win 7 into an older computer and that will be the Win 7 machine archaeologist will find in the rubble of NJ someday.
regular SSDs can now be got cheaper than magnetic SATA. crazy.
I bought the 1 TB SSD for the same price I bought a 250 TB SSD for in 2016. Amazing.
Metal Gear Solid 4 Special Edition Playstation 3.
Well actually this was my netflix machine in the living room. I don't watch Netflix in there anyway but this thing was ready. I moved it into my bedroom to use as a gaming machine. This is a very special gaming machine since it was one of the first edition PlayStation 3's that included the ability to play PS1 and PS2 games flawlessly. What amazing value.

After a few years of use the BR drive went out on mine. Was still my favorite disc player. Primarily for the bluetooth remote.
Meanwhile, an expensive Sony BR drive still uses IR. What the heck.

Surface models are fun, going to be a while to get the robot doing complex work.

You can use it to custom make fleshlights for dudes with curved dicks. A million-dollar idea, Dilb!
Ask if they balanced them.

Google "wheel balance weights" and check to see if your tires have them. There are two types.
Bf2s doesn't work with short YouTube links.

Tires. Hoped they'd solve the noise issue after I rotated them. They did not.

Some tyres just make different noises, at 7k they'll be about bedded in.
