Now that I have your attention let me get to my point: the Iowa caucus as of this moment has no winner even though it finished yesterday. A caucus is a type of system for picking candidates that doesn't rely on ballots and voting machines. It works by groups of (white) people picking sides at a location and trying to convince each other to pick a candidate and stick around for head counting. This system is unreliable and disagreements regarding the results has led to disputes regarding the winner. This will taint the rest of the primary.
Why do we use this system and in such an insignificant place? Why not move the first primary states to someplace big like California that has voting machines? Well there are too many brown and yellow <3 people in California. The argument for the Iowa Caucus is that Democrats will need to win over places of like 95% white people therefore Iowa and New Hampshire should go before the big diverse places like California. And this is the result. A broken primary.
