Not long before cars are bricked because the OS has gone EOL.

Many many good cars have been written off because the dealer wants a stupid price to fix them, electronics makes it a whole lot worse.

Fuck Israel
Electronic issues are actually pretty rare when it comes to used cars. Transmission and motor issues vastly VASTLY! outweigh electronic issues.
The only electric problem that is a persistent one is a car getting water damage.

They will become less rare.

no, but before, you'd be able to HEAR and FEEL your power steering failing. Now it just fails. Same result, but I like to feel my car breaking down. Makes me feel like I'm in control of what's going on.SuperJail Warden wrote:

There's a real argument to be made about the electronification(wtf ?) of autos and other historically mechanized goods though, definitely. Within this particular space (vehicles), look to all the troubles farmers have had repairing their new tractors. Either enter in to a service contract or your tractor is b0rked if anything goes wrong. Look at Tesla selling SAAS on their cars - and people eat it up!
I will be turning 30 in a few months. Now is about time to get into some old man hobbies as I prepare to die. I bought a Gundam model kit.
My dad builds giant aircraft carriers and other military models for his home office/man Cave.
So my favorite Gundam pilot is going to be guarding the USS Enterprise for the next 30 years.

The Gundam with the wings has all of the fingers in one piece. There's not much you can do with them. The American Gundam has each finger as an individual piece that you can move in several places and attaches and unattaches from the palm. This allows you to get it to hold more stuff. It is a massive pain in the ass to get them into shape and to not fall out. So I glued the things to the palm. And even after I get the fingers to close together it ends up looking like shit.

Hmm? They are both "Master grade". The pieces are identical with the exception of the cerebral palsy hands.
