"Impossible to capture" in a show where where "subvert expectations just because" and impregnable city-fortresses fail just because. Massively contrived.
My point is that the show was average storytelling for maybe the first three seasons, then took a sharp downturn. It has characters who are supposed to be smart, written I guess by people who don't know how to write smart characters. Endure 40 minutes of people talking up four dimensional chess in a garden, then one of them dies a season later because they can't read the writing on the wall. It's like a bad fanfic.
"Do you have anymore stupid complaints that I can clear up for you," get outta here.
And did you know the Red Wedding wasn't just the Frey's plot? Tywin convinced other members of Robb's army to defect and kill him. Did you want Frey to declare war on those defectors too?
And Tywin didn't care about tradition. He only cared about power. Murdering people who defected to you isn't a power move while you are still fighting a civil war. I am sorry that the character didn't have the personality you wanted him to.
And I am very sorry you don't understand the things you watch on T.V.
Of course it was a Lannister plot. Probably not a very big mystery to the other lords, either. Puppet kills enemy, puppeteer throws puppet under the bus. There are optics Tywin could have abused, and histories rewritten. It might have happened eventually had Tywin not been shot on the pot. Wouldn't even have to kill off the whole household. Could just off Frey and his sons. Marry off one his daughters to a lord whose loyalties could be counted on more. "Gracious." I don't think the other lords would particularly miss Frey enough to protest too loudly. It's not any more half-assed simplified to one paragraph than the show turned out with its many other examples of stupidity.
But no, it's because "I don't understand the things I watch on TV." pff. OK, Professor Westeros. Do you teach your students the Targaryen lineage too? So useful.

Almost all of those dumb decisions were from the T.V. producers and not the source material.
What did you think I was talking about? This is a TV show thread.
