I recently found my BF1942 disc with a fecking huge gash in it so i was wondering if i should buy it again, i have all of the Xpacks for it, but just wondering should i get it again to play it online but not sure if any 1 still does, i also have vietnam but cant find all the patches, so just asking how many of you still play the older ones.

i have never played any of the older ones, bf2 is the best iv heard tho, so il stick with this one
I still play all three. Sometimes I get tired of BF2, so I go play BF1942 or BFV.

I've seem some of the old expansion packs "road to Rome" and "secret weapons" in my local gamestation and have considered buying some of the earlier games but wasn't sure if many servers would still exist and also whether it would conflict with bf2 (sure at least 1 person has mentioned this happening before).
would anyone recommdend buying all the earlier ones? and if so which are the best?

I tried playing the BF1942 expansions a while ago and there wasn't any servers up for it. Lots of BF1942 servers though.crimson_grunt wrote:

BF1942 by far! It's a lot more fun than BF2!
