I think an anti tank badge that measured a player's actual ability to use the anti tank weapon would be a nice addition. I shoot down blackhawks, attack helicopters, and armor all the time. On very rare occasions I've actually destroyed jets in flight with the AT-AA weapon (You have to lead a LOT).
Heres a quick example of how the badges could be structured:
Basic AT-AA Proficiency Badge:
3 Armor kills or 2 Helicopter kills IAR
Veteran AT-AA Proficiency Badge:
6 Armor Kills or 4 Helicopter kills IAR
Expert AT-AA Proficiency Badge:
9 Armor Kills or 6 Helicopter kills IAR
Maybe each of these badges might actually require a combination of both types of kills rather than one or the other. I guess some testing would be needed to find a reasonable expectation for acquiring the badge. Personally, I can recall shooting down 6 helicopters in one round using the Anti-Tank weapon, but that was under unusual circumstances, ie the pilots really sucked.
I also think it would be cool to have badges that reward players for eliminating specific types of targets regardless of what kit, weapon, or vehicle they use to do it. One example would be the Anti Helicopter Badge (name subject to change). For this badge for example it wouldn't matter what kit the player used, what weapon they used, or wether they used a vehicle to take down helicopters. The player would simply have to destroy X number of helicopters in a round to achieve the badge they're seeking. I know that I've taken down helicopters with tanks, LAV's, humvees, vodniks, AT-AA, AA stinger seats, helicopters, jets, TOWS, C4, and even grenade launchers with the assault kit. So the objective would simply be to take out as many helicopters as possible for the badge.
Example:
Basic Anti Helicopter Badge.
5 Helicopter kills IAR
Veteran Anti Helicopter Badge.
10 Helicopter kills IAR
Expert Anti Helicopter Badge.
15 Helicopter kills IAR
Notice how none of my badges have time requirements. This is because I think if you're skilled enough to achieve the objectives of a badge that you shouldn't have to play a ridiculous number of hours just to pay your dues.
