Just saw a s22 Simpsons episode. It wasn't great but I enjoyed it.

Also one of the main actors for The Expanse has a lot of sexual assault allegations being levied against him. Looks bad.

So I watched the first 2 and a half episodes of Unsolved Mysteries. I liked it. The first two mysteries were regarding a suicide (was it really a suicide?) and the second was a disappearance (who did it?). The third mystery is where it lost me. It was regarding a mass murder of a family in France. Interesting premise but I don't feel like reading. I rather listen and play with my phone at the same time. So I stopped watching and just looked up the rest of the story and episodes. 5 out 6 dealt with disappearances, murders, and suicides. Only 1 was paranormal and about a UFO.

I liked what I watched. If the second wasn't in French, I would have kept watching.

I had rubber nunchucks from a martial arts supply. Eventually upgraded to bamboo. Staff was real from the start. I got some forged steel sais later that I still can do some basic stuff with (reverse grip twirl is pretty fun), but they're mostly for nostalgia value or as a slightly hazardous stress toy.

I actually went as a ninja for one Halloween as a kid, but not as a turtle. I was a fan of the Ninja trilogy.

You should enroll your kids in a martial arts class at some point if they're up for it. Good way to keep trim, so they don't get a nick like Big Country in boot camp before being sent to Afghanistan.

As a second degree black belt in TaeKwonDo (seriously), I can assure you nunchucks are useless as a weapon. No matter what they are made out of, they just aren't practical for anything but shows. They were farmer tools before Bruce Lee made them famous. The only nunchucks I ever had that was practical was one that screwed in on the ends to become a metal rod.

If I had to pick a Mutant Ninja Turtle weapon, I would pick the daggers. Your sword is useless if a dagger guy gets close. Most medieval duels were fought with two weapons. A sword and a dagger.

I've been watching Space Force on Netflix and I like it a lot, it's a good balance of comedy with some drama mixed in. It kind of makes me think of a military version of The Office with a significantly higher production value. It pokes a lot of fun at how blatantly retarded American politics currently is, but not to the nauseating point where it's singularly stuck on that subject like some other shows, which is pretty refreshing.
