A bit late to the party. It's an abandoned game, so I wouldn't. No need to bother if you haven't played before, unless you do classic LAN parties where it's a regular feature.
I don't know off the top of my head what alternative hosting is still up and active these days. Some folks I played with moved on to ARMA, or more recently Squad.

My PS3 BF3 and Bad Company 2 stats are pretty reflective of me as a player since my PC game stats are all warped due to hacking and exploits. I am a hacker man after all.
