i distinctly recall leaving this board for 6 months at a time or so and coming back, and in my 'return post', finding posts to quote and remarks to cite (a lot of them by you, who has been, after all, my most consistent and ardent fan).

I haven't engaged his arguments in over 2 pages and opted to humour myself and hopefully others with some obvious jokes instead. The very reason I was harsh from the getgo was precisely to put a finger on this behaviour as well - how would he react if someone else were as dismissive and insulting to him as he is to others? Second, uzique doesn't need to be covered for. That's not what I'm doing here. I'm not his white knight. I've butted heads with him in the past over things I didn't really think needed argument over. I'm making my own observations here on what's going down between you two, not uzique and desertfurry, and I don't think any of them had a palpable impact on duration. So don't go passing the blame to me.

How the fuck did I get dragged into this shit again? I said that particular music was very samey and uninteresting to me as a result, and because I foresaw the potential defensiveness, put in the part about acknowledging there's things I don't know about the style. I got some weird off-mark reply about hair metal, then. I didn't dismiss the genre out of hand. I've liked some things of that sort that have been posted before; there's probably karmas for it.
