i like checking out charity stores too but sometimes you just gotta swaddle yourself in fine hand-made portuguese shirts, you know? what, you meet women for dates dressed in Dead Old Guy clothes?
I saw Game of Thrones season 2 episode 1. That means a dragon was born or something.
I mean you're going in and picking through the best stuff at prices that could really help some people out. I'm not going to make a very big deal about it since shopping second hand is environmentally conscious, but still.Dilbert_X wrote:
Charity shops usually give clothes to the needy, me buying stuff pays for that and pays for what the charity does.
Relative who makes upper five figures occasionally shows off the latest ugly (but serviceable and in good condition) plates or glasses they got from Goodwill. I'm sure someone else could have used those. Saving grace I guess is that Goodwill goes through a ton of merch.
I still browse them whenever I have time on my way to various errands to see if there's any sweet electronics, but I think the days of finding old Nintendo stuff are long gone since people seem generally more conscious about their value now.
This ain't the 18th century. Glass, and ceramic dishes are super cheap. Amazon Basics brand sells them even.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

I did buy a collection of Magic the Gathering cards from Shopgoodwill.com or whatever. The value of the stuff I got was over the $140 I bought it for.
I buy my plates and glasses either at restaurant supply or the nearby Korean supermarket (where I find woks, etc.). Nothing fancy (already have china that is hardly ever used), plain white ceramic. That over brown-stained discs that look like they were crafted by a 70s brain and Budweiser memorabilia steins any day of the week. Yuck.
Occasionally one of the Starbucks cups if they look cool.

I enjoy the weird LinkedIn posts my old co-worker likes.
Today it was a lady complaining about her profile pic being removed. She thought it was cause she was wearing shorts and a tank top but it's really cause her face wasn't visible.
How are these people that dumb
I did read some slut story of a girl who found guys to hook up with on there so maybe that is a reason to use it.

So it's been awhile since I ordered from amazon. I guess you can now harass the drivers by leaving a performance review. "It was great," "it was not so great." First option takes me to a screen where I can multiple choice various compliments in this order:

Missing from these is the "knocked and left, we never saw each other face to face because neither of us wants the 'rona." But my cables and various other sundries were deposited under the cover of the porch.

You call yourself American? You gotta get those numbers up!
2 and a half weeks without any solar panel phone calls. I do get car warranty phone calls. I wish I could speak to a normal person when the car warranty people contact me.
Heads up, dilbert:

Can you keep a stray cat?
Should probably do an honest and take it to the vet to get chip-scanned, ask around to see if any are lost. Get advice from dilbert on the best kitty litter.
A 1911 would not be my first pick, the etching is great though.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
