BF2S Forums Rate the last TV Show you've seen

Is this modern German? If so, shouldn't there at least be an attempt to have them speaking some sort of proto-Germanic?

Oh well, there's probably at least some expectations of realism you have to toss out the door if you want to enjoy these shows. Or don't, and prune your watchlist instead to "documentary-first, drama-second" programs.

Received a copyright notice from my ISP. My crime? Downloading Simpsons Season 1-9. I feel like a Metallica fan right now.

I got a notice last year for downloading Warcraft Reforged off a torrent site because BattleNet kept telling me I already downloaded it.

3 really good/great episodes out of 9 so far. One left. Kind of disappointing quality, S5 was expected to be the least going by the books.

So at what part of MitM did it become Breaking Bad, or was it merging with Better Call Saul in later seasons.

i forgot i applied to be on a game show some time ago. I had a phone interview with the casting agent today. I have a zoom interview with the casting director on friday. We have to "dress for a nice lunch" (no patterns, well-groomed, no crop tops or revealing clothing, etc) and we (me and my two prospective teammates, who i chose) have to do a little mockup of the game show and answer questions. I'm sure they are way more interested in how our personalities play to a TV audience than the actual substance of our answers, but it should be an interesting exercise, and will get me familiar with the process for my inevitable Jeopardy run in the future.

It's a trivia show, natch

No one has ever beat me and it's not even close. I've been beating my parents and my friend's parents since I was like 10. Not saying it's impossible, but I've been interested in trivia for over 30 years. I was in academic decathlon for a few years in high school, and various quiz bowl type events in grade school.  I rarely lost in bar trivia when we used to play. I'll take me and two of my brothers against pretty much anyone.

I used to do bar trivia at this brewery by my old place, but they shut down. There were around 20 teams that would show up, and our win rate was probably over 90%. We used to battle with another team. Their 8 people against me and my brothers. Fast forward about a year after the last time we played. We are at a new brewery playing. We get to the end, and like a clock they read our team name as winners. I see someone come up to our table and he says, hey, you guys are Delta Delta Delta from Barley Forge! We stopped playing there because of you, and now you're gonna come here and kick our asses!?

Is that show still on?

The show is still around but they made it more convoluted because I guess it was too easy.

i'm doing the same but with seinfeld. feels like a glaring omission in my tv-watching history. consuming a quick episode with my bowl of noodles every lunchtime.

pretty much the same sentiments. it's workmanlike and well-crafted but not all that memorable. a few lines here and there. maybe it'll grow on me.

i've always found american sitcoms as bizarre and exotic as bollywood movies or chinese revolutionary operas.

the canned laughter, the extreme tightness and claustrophobia of the cast and set, the now-dated 80s observational humour ... i don't really get it. but i'm trying.
