How do you pronounce February? It took 30 years but I just noticed there is a R in February after Feb.
Do you also call it a libary?
Google doesn't acknowledge the R in how they suggest to pronounce February.

I leave the R out. Almost nobody here uses it in the word. More on this specifically: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-ente … 24195.html
It doesn't really have a whole lot to do with libary vs. library, it turns out.

everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
Not pronouncing a letter in one word doesn't have a whole lot to do with not pronouncing a letter in another word because of how speech evolves over time? Ok!unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
Different entymologies and histories between both words if you were wanting to get into it past snark, anyway.

This whole thing is January's fault. People look at the spelling of February and assume it is pronounced just like the last month. I asked a few people to spell February and they didn't even put the R in.
I wouldn't really miss it if it were dropped from the official spelling. I don't think the change would even stand out all that much.
People lazy with speech are usually stupid, the R is fairly obvious.SuperJail Warden wrote:
