I am visiting South Carolina. I am leaving Friday morning and coming back Saturday night. So I don't need to take much. I have luggage. Can I take my tactical backpack as carry on instead?

A lot of people wanted a fun celebrity. They instead got this guy.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
Why?
Mike Richards, who was named the new host of “Jeopardy!” last week, is abruptly leaving the role as the beloved game show after a report this week resurfaced offensive and sexist comments he made on a podcast several years ago.
Mr. Richards, who as the show’s executive producer helped oversee the search for Alex Trebek’s replacement — before he himself was named to the position — said on Friday in a staff memo that the controversy had made “clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans and not the right move for the show.”
“As such, I will be stepping down as host effective immediately,” Mr. Richards wrote.
Sony Pictures Entertainment, which produces and distributes “Jeopardy!”, had announced Mr. Richards’s new role with great fanfare, calling him a “great talent.”
But a report in The Ringer this week unearthed past offensive comments made by Mr. Richards on a podcast that led to denunciations from critics including the Anti-Defamation League.
Everyone I explained the hiring process to also agreed that it was a screwed up system. It's really hard to find anyone excited about the guy considering there were so many celebrities to pick from.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Disclaimer that I am not a huge Jeopardy fanatic.
Growing pains for many industries, people realizing that certain behaviors in the workplace are probably unprofessional and belong in the past. The guy had multiple lawsuits against him? How much trawling through archives does that dirt really require? We know beyond allegedlies that some of the stuff he said was kind of gross even for the year. What is the boundary where too little to matter becomes significant enough to acknowledge, really?
Maybe he's not Bill Cosby, but do we need a jerk as a host when there are other options?
Fans made a big deal about various candidates they wanted, and there were candidates who wanted it. Then this guy gets promoted from within. It's like that meme of Obama putting a medal on Obama.
Point of trivia, Mayo Clinic says there is no evidence that growing hurts. That they may be psychological or linked to a lower pain threshold.
