If you've been active on this thread then you already know that there are a gazillion opinions on what are the best guns/unlocks. Well this is what is great about BF2! There is no best weapon...they're all good if you know how to use em!

I used to think that the G36E was the most overrated gun until i finally learned how to use it...wow. Currently I don't particularly like the M95 Sniper Rifle or the L85A1 Medic Assault Rifle cause I haven't had particularly good results with them so far. However, I've been killed by them enough to know that they can be damn good weapons if I just put in a little more time to figure them out. Even the submachine guns can get good!!

Anyways, I think the guns are great in this game because there are those ever so subtle nuances that you have to figure out in order to really be able to kick ass with them.

yup same with M249 SAW, most people think it sucks and only use the MG36 or PKM for support, but ones you know how to use the SAW you know it doesn't suck and is atleast just as good.

Yes it does here look: Multiply the RPM by the Damage to get Damage Per Minute.
HK21: 600x33=19800
PKM: 450x45=20250
MG36: 600x30=18000
RPK-74: 600x35=21000
M249 Saw: 900x25=22500
Although the gun cannot kill in 1 headshot, it does the most damage per minute. (The M249 SAW that is.)

Btw, I´m beginning to hate the PKm, because of its slow rate of fire...I often come up face to face with another support with the mg36, and they like always kill me:(
its just good for sniping:D

But remember, Support weapons overheat, so in a way, there will pauses.

And how come you missed out the Type 95?

Funny you say that, Those are my 2 main weapons i use.

M95 is better then the L96A1/M24, which most people would disagree with. m95 can make all the shots the other 2 can and penetrate glass, I kill so many people driving in cars about to run me over, and on occassion heli pilots coming straight for me or hoving base raping.

L85A1 is also very good, i love the little needle sight. and its godly accurate like the SCAR L

and with some of you talking highly of the AK101, ill give it a try, i just use unlocks hehe.

any difference in AK101 and AK47?
