hey guys. could you tell me if my graphics card is any good ive just got?

its a leadtek winfast A6800 XT TDH 128 mb ddr.

i was spose be gettin a XFS 7300 GS but my step dad got THE WRONG ONE!

please tell me if i can have my settings on high etc with this.

Be VERY thankful that ur dad got the 6800xt and NOT the 7300gs, he made the right move And depending on ur system memory and processor speeds u can run high with ur new card.

I run BF2 in 1280x1024 with all on "average"and AA on 2x on a GF6800Le (overclocked though) with a P4 3.1Ghz and 1Gb Ram and it runs great...

You'll be able to run medium and highs, experiment a little with different settings.

My best guess is run a 1024x768 resolution, turn off AA and then try a mix of mediums and highs

semprons are good for budget pc's...
a 6800 will be fine
just don't expect the world of it in the new titles comin up mate:)
the 7300 is one of those "home pc but sounds like a new card" cards..
your step dad made the right choice tbh

it's a 6800 xt

It's got EIGHT pixel pipelines instead of the usual 12 or 16 of a 6800vanilla/GT

It also has less memory, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was gddr1/2 either.

Expect mediums...

Either way, he made out better with the 6800 then the anemic 7300gs with its limited 64mb memory bus.

True, true. He'd be better off with a vanilla 6800 though.

Unless if he's got a lucky 6800xt that can be unlocked to vanilla

hey guys. i had problems installing the card. had to wipe the pc

anyway ive just had a game and fiddled with the settings but its playin dead jerky...

can you tell me what settings are best?

I suggest medium everything, 2AA or off, 1024x768 resolution.

I have the 6800GS card and have everything on medium with 16sAA (card determined, not game) and get no lag whatsoever.

Also, there is VERY LITTLE difference between medium and high settings.
