How did het get up there?

Hi.

I was playing Strike at Karkand lately, as I mostly do, and i saw the oddest thing i've ever seen. I saw this before but my mind must have surpressed it because many people said it was impossible.
Now I have proof. I saw a guy on the tall building across the Hotel.

Adter a while I saw him jump and parachute off the building. The weird thing is: he jumped (omfg) very high. Too high for normal standards so my guess is that he uses a hack to get up there. I was unable to take a screenshot of that because the situation of him being on the building and jumping so high confused me. And it went really really fast...

Can someone tell us more about this crazy fact?

he probably used some supply crates to stand on and then jumped up, or the server had friendly fire turned off and he did a C4 jump

C4. You'd have to stack 30 crates to get up that high, and they don't stack (we've tried, they just shove the other ones out of the way.)

i love when i see screenies of like 800x600 on low, makes me feel special

ive never seen someone up there. why would you want friendly fire off anyway? seems silly to me.

Hmmm... I seem to remember that FF-off is not a valid setup for a RANKED server... Was this a ranked server you were on at the time?

it allows for C4 jumps and it helps when going for the explosives badges (no teamkills/damage). yes it is allowed on ranked servers. there is another thread floating around that will confirm this. edit: ah here it is http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=1812

Or it might just be a h4xx0r. How did he jump so high when getting off the roof? And I have also seen a hack like this one time on Strike at Kar. Me and an enemy were going head to head with shotguns in the courtyard near hotel MEC base, when suddenly he rockets into the sky, comes back down and kills me cuz I'm still in shock. It couldn't have been C4 because neither of us died and we were on opposite teams.

This server had friendly fire on. So C4 "jumping" is impossible. Possibly a hack. Not sure tough, but sure 98 %.

I know I saw him jumping so high, and this couldnt be an exploit or trick.

Ye i checked that website too, but there is nothing mentioned about getting up the larger one..
