i actually can’t imagine sleeping with someone on multiple occasions and not asking them what their real name is?

or the girl being okay with that?

perhaps she’s just trying to get some casual hook-ups out of her system before she settles down into the expected pattern of life. it seems low-key disrespectful to tolerate so little curiosity from a partner.

it shouldn’t be hard to ghost someone when you don’t even know their real name or haven’t exchanged socials.

The Chinese girl at work keeps asking me personal questions.

Compared with the guy on the other side, who swears and throws things, I'm a saint.

dilbert: nerds aren't self-conscious, they are perfectly comfortable with who they are compared to humanities drugs hipsters. well adjusted.

also dilbert: oh my god a girl keeps asking me questions! how annoying! she's not as bad as my engineer colleague who has anger issues, though.

Small update. The Chinese girl invited me to Chinese Valentine's Day. That threw me for a loop. Especially since I am planning to meet up with the Polish girl in Brooklyn.

I talked to a friend about the situation and they told me I need to tell the Chinese girl that I don't want to be exclusive with her. The Chinese girl didn't skip a beat and said "if you are going to see other girls you need to wear protection when we are together." I was expecting crying and fighting but she didn't do any of that. Instead we continued to make plans to see the balloon festival and meet her married friends on the weekend. She told me later "she doesn't share" but going by her response I would be unsurprised if I could compartmentalize all of this. Like I think she would be okay with just assuming I do what I do with other girls but give her a good time when we are together and text her religiously.

What a twist.

What can I do.

I prefer to do drugs alone in the comfort of my home. It is pretty easy to get along with and have a good time with people in normal settings though.

I wasn't always like that. Glad to have improved that part of me. That said, I don't think it has made me a better person. Frankly, I don't get how someone could be maladjusted into their 40's and beyond. I am NOT calling Dilbert maladjusted.
