For such an expensive video card(s), the connector and cable still looks as cheap, unsecure/wiggly, and overall less-than-premium as can be.

If the 4080/70 or whatever card comes after are anywhere near as bulky as the 4090, my HAF case will have turned out to be prescient.

From what I understand they wanted to make the cable as small as possible. Is a feature not a bug.

It would be dope if we someday got motherboards that only needed one PSU connection to it and then it would power everything else. It would probably melt also.

The 4090 is the size of a small refrigerator. What happened behind the closed doors of NVIDIA where someone decided "you know what? The cable should be smaller."

I'd also like to know why NVIDIA decided to skip PCIe 5.0 for 40xx.
