Would you like another story from work? It is about a parent punching a 17 year old.

Also if I hear "sorry, we don't support that model any more, have you tried the forums?" again there could be trouble.
you're overthinking it.pirana6 wrote:
My job is quickly falling apart (it's a startup so... whatever).
I applied to a job and the recruiter got back to me for a phone screen. He had one of those sites where you can pick a time and it auto-schedules it for them and I looked at it assuming the week I was looking at available times was this week. Normally I try to set it up as soon as possible to get ahead of everyone else so I made it for what I thought was Wednesday Jan 24th.
I looked a minute later at the confirming email and I had made it for Wednesday the 31st. Panic then set in because that's a full week out and I could swear I saw plenty of options for this week in his available times.
This morning I emailed the recruiter and said to the effect "Hey if you want to do it sooner, I'm game, but if not I'm happy to keep it as-is."
He got back and said he could move it up to this Friday, which is ultimately what I wanted originally but now I'm thinking he had to move some meetings around to accommodate me and the available options I was originally looking at were indeed all next week and now I'm coming off like an ass AND desperate (former may be true but I can lie, latter isn't quite true - not yet at least)
I guess I just need to apologize in the phone screen and make it through because as long as I talk to the hiring manager I should be okay since it falls to his/her hands then and the recruiter doesn't have much say (nor care I'd imagine)
Its a phone screen, don't worry about it.pirana6 wrote:
