got an email today that this thing is now in quality control/testing stage and should be with me by the end of march. not a bad turnaround: 3 months, when sometimes their production queue runs up to a 6 months waiting list.
in the time i've been waiting they've actually overhauled the design for the isolator so that it's fully discrete (and can be bypassed altogether in the signal chain) and given the phono pre-amps an upgrade. not a bad reward for a little patience, a fractionally better-sounding end product for no extra cost.
looking forward to very much making it the focal point of my new living room, alongside the speakers (in some/many more months of waiting) and probably a nice projector setup for the other half's tv and movies.

now i should probably actually think about putting my last boutique mixer, which i had made for me in the UK, up for sale to pay for all of this audio-rabbithole silliness ... would be nice to recoup 2k bucks or something to take the sting out of it all.
