No, but I didnt need anything really.
When we were in Bend a few weeks ago drinking too much beer we stopped by the REI there and I got a pair of trail running shoes (that I just use for light-hiking). They tried to stop me from buying them and wait until the sale started but I needed them on that trip and I also saved 10% from lack of Washington sales tax and used the rest of my 2024 rewards. So like sale, just not really.

I use trail runners for backpacking now. I prefer them over regular hiking shoes when im doing miles

olympics are still the crown jewel of where i'd want to revisit in wa. the place feels so eerie compared to other places i've been in this state.

Oof tough ask. Id say the olympics are quintessential PNW so maybe head up to Lake Crescent? Taking the ferry is classic Western Washington fun.
Anything in the Cascades is going to be packed so head over to the Olympic Peninsula.
West slope has Bogachiel, Queets. Hoh River Trail is peak quintessential PNW.
East Slope has the ever-classic Marmot Pass to get into some open areas and hopefully still has wildflowers. Only for weekdays though, itll be socked with people. Theres also the West Fork Dosewallips up to Honeymoon Meadows. Since the last ice age until 10 years ago Anderson Glacier was there but global warming and whatnot...

Anyway just google image search those and anything else. And bring a raincoat

also, i've seen the 'limited income' passes. heck of a euphemism for "poor as shit," i think.

I ordered some sim racing gear mid May.

Due to inventory errors, delays and some pretty poor effort on their end I'm still waiting on the last piece.

I have been emailing them and calling them and they keep assuring me it will be sent ASAP. I called them again this afternoon and stayed on the phone until I had a tracking number in my inbox before I let them go. Hopefully hear in the next few days

few things in the world of computing consistently infuriate me more than microsoft's automatic updates. i've disabled them more times than i count, but they keep resetting to on. you can "pause" for 35 days, but it doesn't let you pause again until you restart. offline hours set to active hours to avoid inactive restarts, it still gets you.

i want to update when i'm good and ready, fuckers, and not because i stepped out for like two minutes while forgetting my weekly chore of delaying another week. really great way to bork sessions. various progresses gone forever because microsoft had a noncritical microupdate for me.

I feel like I'm the only techy person I know who doesn't complain much about OneDrive or windows updates.

That said I hadn't started OneDrive on my Mac in months so I had 160k changes to process which took literally a day.

Also if I upgrade to W11 my VR headset will turn into a brick cause they removed support for their mixed reality ecosystem.

if it didn't inconvenience me, i probably wouldn't give it much thought. i enjoy a world where i don't have to regularly reboot to keep things stable. win 10 is great that way, when it cooperates.
