How come I see so few people have positive KDR's for the AT weapon?  Even on the leaderboards, alot of them have just ~1.0 KDR's...

Because you have to shoot 2 shots+ at a tank, he needs one to kill you.

Because most AT guys realise it's their job to take down tanks instead of infantry sniping? And tanks aren't the easiest things to kill.

So I'm assuming having a 2.0 KDR for AT weapon would either mean:

- The guy is a AT genius OR
- He switches to another weapon after shooting it

Yeah, the odds are generally against Anti Tankers when it comes to survival rates.  Especially if the AT class is in short supply.  One can only do so much on their own before they fall victim to the very armour they hunt, or either are taken out at long range without having the same luxury to retaliate against infantry.

The worst bit is... that although my ratio is 1.1, i've gone and Fired half the bloody things into the ground. Accuracy of 57%!!!... considering it's Wire guided, that kinda sucks, maybe i could make 2KDR if i just stop missing!

Whereas it is hard to get high KPD using the AT weapon as you have to shoot armour several times to kill them, you get the advantage of:-

Being a great help to your team. If you don't kill the armour your team will most likely loose.
You'll get alot of damage assists from the tanks/apcs/choppers that you half kill then somebody else finishes off.
You get the DAO-12, the infantry mulcher.
Nobody can take flags on their own as well as a rocket shooting, shotgun weilding anti-tanker.
I've found it to be the best kit in terms of SPM.

I don't usually be AT for the very reason its pointless, unless I get tired of being spawn killed by the same guy in armor, or I just happen to feel like helping everyone out.

90% of the time when theres a constant group of armor spawn killing an area or something virtually no one on my team is smart enough to spawn as AT for a minute to get rid of the armor. Shooting at a tank or apc means death most of the time for me anyways, when Im AT. I think its somewhat imbalanced, they should either eliminate the hit indicators for the person in armor when they get hit by a rocket, remove the smoke trail, or make AT rockets more powerful, or just lower the repair rate of supply crates for armor, or something.

I seem to get my kills stolen all the time when im AT. It never fails ill spend the time shooting 3 rockets at a tank only to have a teammate run up and hit it with his knife and take the kill. It happens every time.

Doen't matter because im a tank whore so AT isn't exactly my favorite class.

Honestly i would settle for unlocking the RPG7... Which is what i was kinda hoping for instead of the P90. And although that would be odd seeing the USMC going around with 'em... you see MEC with F2000s all the time.
It's really not all that bad for AT, my biggest problem by a fair margin is watching support guys ignore your call for ammo.

Where as if you're Sniper, you can easily conceive a round where you might go without dying once if no-one finds you, or you're just having a good night. With AT, you're going to die...often.

Well in my experience there's three types of AT players. The guys that fire a rocket, go prone, and hope the tank doesn't see them is one. The guy who finds a good position, leans out to fire, then takes cover and moves is another with a much better K/D ratio.

The third is...well...the Warlord AT hall sweeper. This is the guy with a pretty good K/D using AT because he stalks the palace halls of Warlord when half of it is contested with his DAO-12 and just destroys everyone while firing rockets through windows and bloodying the palace walls.

It's not hard to have a good K/D with AT. I'm not even sure what mine is as I'm posting this, (Edit: It's less than one but not by much, and I only have about 1000 kills or so...should go to show how little I play AT) but I'm currently working on my Spec Ops expert badge so I haven't had a lot of prolonged experience with the AT kit. Maybe I'll work on AT expert instead of Medic expert next....hmmm.
