What I find interesting about these tech leaders is there no sense of civic duty. Every politician I know tries to wrap what they do in the spirit of civil service. I participated in special education little league today. All of the politicians were there. No doubt many of them are genuine sociopaths but they know enough to package what they do in a respectable wrapper. The Trump era of performative ugliness is just historical strange.
