can anybody help me? whenever i attempt to connect to a server, the server will start connecting, and then when it gets to 4%, BAM, my computer restarts, i dunno why, ive ran virus scans, adware scans, whats going on!

by the way, im running on a 3 ghz Pentium 4 with HT, a gig of ram, Nvidia 6800 GT OC
ive tried requesting assistance from EA, but on the support website whenever i try to login, what happens is, it says the page i requested is not there........

have you tried loading into more than one server? Sometimes the server config may be screwed or the files such as bf2cc may mess it up. If it happens on every server then i have no idea. Have you added any new hardware recently that might be taking up your psu? Or did you install some new video drivers that might be conflicting with older ones?

ive tried other servers, doesnt work, i did download the 6800 driver, which seems as though that messed it up...dunno how to take em off though

Maybe your pc is overheating? do you have any type of system cooling implemented?

i had only one fan running, i now have 2, not playing gave my comp a chance to cool down, i doubt its overheated though..........

like i said though, i played bf2, the next day downloaded a nvidida driver, and then it doesnt work anymore, thats why im assuming so, but still, not sure

I had same kind of problem, when i started game it would sometimes load and others crash during loading, turns out bf2 had a conflict with my sound card, so took it out and went back to sound on mobo n it worked fine, had to buy a new sound card compatable with bf2 but all sorted now

Also found that changing the sound option from hardware to software sometimes made it work better.

Just a couple of my thoughts might help might not, good luck anyway!!

overheating man. what was the last mega-game you ran? stuff like BF2, UT2k4 or HL2...

comp overheats, auto-restarts to cool down. lower your CPU clock and see if you can play.

*sigh* or just turn off the computer.....ive been playing alot of cod2 and bf2....not as much bf2 though............dunno how to lower cpu clock.....
