the brooklyn hipster doesn't exist anymore. VICE Magazine went broke. brooklyn is not the epicenter of cool. whatever stereotypes were invoked by that place name, they firmly belong in the 2000-2020 period.

I think it is mostly physical and at all related to their minds or personality. I love their big pointy noses. I have a big pointy nose. dating apps are socially passé and technically banjaxed thesedays. there's been nigh-on 15 years of algorithmic sorting at this point. hot and desirable women either paired off and found their mate in v1 of tinder or the early days of bumble/hinge, or they're cognitively burned out and fried by the infinity of choice and years of serial dating three men a week in the metropolises. men have to contend with an app that wants you to spend $75 a month for the premium-top-executive-extra-good tier of membership, and then it throws you into a pool with 90% male users and 10% active female users. dating apps officially became victims of their own success.

i hear bumble is going to go back to the drawing board and do away with swiping altogether, and let AI agents act as match-makers. sounds extremely dystopian.

i'm afraid all there is for it if you want to meet women, girlboss or brooklyn yenta or both, is to get out there in the real world and mill around in those spaces. coincidence and happy accident is the new cupid's bow and arrow. for that you will have to leave your house, though. might i recommend drinking a hipster beer on a beach somewhere?
