Morning all,
I was playing bf2 earlier when my keys started sticking, not on the keyboard, in game - so I press forward once and it will keep walking forward for 10 seconds. This was really starting to piss me off as it mean I had no control over what I was doing and I kept dying, so in my fury I punched the side of the PC, causing it to crash.
Thought nothing of it, restarted the PC and went back on bf2 only to find i had lost all my settings, my gfx settings were on low (usually on high) and in the control settings there was nothing there.
So i thought to save myself some time and hastle, I'll download the full 1.3 patch and reinstall everything. Did that and guess what, the game doesn't work, I get the lighting error on start-up.
Just reinstalling the patch as I type.

So a warning to all, don't punch your PC's while playing bf2 as you may end up with even more problems and the loss of all your settings.

I used to punch my 200 MB RAM PC with a 4100 XI [or IX cant remember] when it got lag in games, never knew why at the time but sure as hell do now.

haha, that has to suck. My wife always tells me to "BREAAAAAAAATHE!!!!!" I don't hit shit, just start cussing up a storm. And I'm *DAMN* sure not gonna start hitting my pc. Fuck that!!! I spent way too many c-notes on that puppy!!!

i wont hit my pc but i will sit in front of it swearing until i am red in the face and threatning it with my car wheel if it doesnt boot up and start working while pointing in a ferious manner.

lol sounds like u made your hard drive skip a beat or two.. unlucky.. hope you didn't cause a headcrash on the disc.. or your likely to find some nice corrupt sectors later in it's lifetime

nice job tho.. i used to kick our old one.. i wouldn't kick myn now.. too much water in it to risk that kind of punishment

how can you even think of punishing your pc??? think of all the risks involed (hurting your fist, data loss).

buy a 5 euro keyboar and 5euro mouse, dont plug it in, when you get frustrated grab it, and smash it till all keys are off!!!

i spent £150 on a new case and it has a huge dent in the side of it

dont you just fucking hate it when your in a clan match and people just go off on there own to get shot, this game has also claimed 3keyboads and 1 mouse.

Now i respect my hardware as it got to exensive to replace it, i should just beet my girlfriend instead

Well its a miricle, bf2 now works.

I may have to try the spare keyboard thing to vent my rage as there is alot of expensive kit in my pc. Still not as bad as what happened to my old one, I shot it.

unless its lcd... once i threw my mouse at my montor coz of "omfg lag!!!" thats one of the worst ways to waste 300 bucks... but i got a better, cheaper larger 19" samsung
