- Dont punch your PC while playing bf2.
I fucking hated it when I would keep walking after I let go of the key... I lost so many points due to that. Luckily, it stopped.
That happens to me if I set my BF2 to high priority. My G5's DPI selection doesn't work on high priority either.
persona;;y, wen I get really irritated with lag on my PC, i give it a light tap. it works, and doesn't damage the damn thing. though I now wonder why I'm on my 3rd PC...............
my keys stick like that since the patch, however i havent punched my comp yet.Drykill wrote:
Morning all,
I was playing bf2 earlier when my keys started sticking, not on the keyboard, in game - so I press forward once and it will keep walking forward for 10 seconds. This was really starting to piss me off as it mean I had no control over what I was doing and I kept dying, so in my fury I punched the side of the PC, causing it to crash.
Thought nothing of it, restarted the PC and went back on bf2 only to find i had lost all my settings, my gfx settings were on low (usually on high) and in the control settings there was nothing there.
So i thought to save myself some time and hastle, I'll download the full 1.3 patch and reinstall everything. Did that and guess what, the game doesn't work, I get the lighting error on start-up.
Just reinstalling the patch as I type.
So a warning to all, don't punch your PC's while playing bf2 as you may end up with even more problems and the loss of all your settings.
Question:
Why is it.. ..that everytime a PC freezes (regardless of program/lack there of) for the "last" time, and the uncontrollable rage that has been building up in you during your 7,5 hour sunday gaming session finally is set free..
1. You hit your keyboard repeatedly
2. You slam your mouse with an adrenaline-pumped wrist-flick on your desk
3. You hit your monitors right side
4. You hit your keyboard with your mouse
5. Vice versa
6. You hit your monitors left side, followed by a repetition of hitting it on the right side
7. You repeat parts 3 and 6, only this time with your mouse
8. You start punching your keyboard to your head until at least 20% of the keys are on the floor (including the spacebar)
9. You hit your speakers (both left and right simultaneously) with your palms, so they fall behind your desk
..when the fault is located inside the computer case.. the only part you didn't lay a hand on?
I wonder..

Well the sticky key problem hasnt occoured again and bf2 seems to work okish, I'm still crashing to desktop when I join some servers.
Now my monitor is starting to annoy me, I have 1 dead pixel out of the 1310720 on my monitor and its all I can look at, don't worry I wont punch it, monitor is expensive and I guess punching it that will only make more dead pixels
