aight i changed/renamed "bf2" to "bf21.exe" for that little tweak. well then i had to change the cong. setts also on x-fire which i did here:

ShortName=bf2
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electro nic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\InstallDir
LauncherExe=BF21.exe

and the result is that when i log in to bf2, my x-fire status is "online" instead of "playing bf2" and i cant chat while in a game and it getts really annoying when u just a "Riiiippppp" sound and see nothing. nothing works w/ x-fire when im in bf2 now. so can any1 help me fix this little prob? also has any1 had this prob?

have you tryed asking for this on X-fire forums? they should have experts for that there

Its ok, I cant add AA to the list of installed games because 'It cant find the executable' and apparently someone else sent me an invite yesterday and it said I was offline.

I also noticed that one of the friends on my list has his favourite game as BF2, with over 35 hours when I know for a fact he doesnt even play that game..

Well you got a space in the word Electro nic, if that is what you typed in xfire then try taking that space out to be \Electronic Arts\Ea Games\

I can not get xfire to work in game either since the new patch.  Also while using xfire to launch bf2, bf2 will crash after 5 minutes.  So I am having some of the same type of problems as you.

My Xfire ingame works fine since the last 1.3 patch, I suggest either reinstalling, or not doing to the bf2 --> bf21.exe thing. If you rename it and undo the changes to the .ini, and it works, then you know that is what is causing the problem.

My Xfire recognises all my other games and has them on the game list, but BF2 has disappeared, ideas anyone?
