Lots of people use the G36C over the ScarL, but I have had some use with the scar and it can be used just as well, even better.

The Scar has better 1st shot accuracy and a red dot scope. Using the ScarL you can snipe quite well on single fire mode. though the G36C is a good weapon at short-medium range because of its low low recoil on auto with the sights.

A good tactic with the ScarL at medium range if your enemy hasn't seen you yet is a quick couple of taps with the red dot scope at the head, using this tactic can really pwn.

I kinda like the red dot also. Much easier to make long head shots.

i roll with the scar l in maps like mashtuur, daqing, kubra, etc. g36 is good for pretty much all maps, but better for medium ranges, generally speaking.

They're incomparable, it's like comparing Champagne and Beer.

Yeah, sure, they're both carbines but you can't use them the same way.

Looking at them statistically;

The SCAR-L does minimally more damage than the G36C.
The SCAR-L generally deviates and recoils more than the G36C.
The SCAR-L does not zoom in anymore with the scope than the G36C does with the sights.

Now... Contrary to popular belief... firing a SCAR-L in full-auto is more accurate than a G36C in full auto.

So when you use a SCAR-L, yes, you can go full-auto better than G36C, but also the recoil is higher and thus the accuracy is lowered as well. The minimum deviation is worse in a SCAR-L, so the G36C is actually better at sniping since the SCAR-L doesn't magnify a target any better.

When you use a SCAR-L, you use it for more bullet pounding and controlled shots, while the G36C you take for longer ranges and good bursts of level headedness.

If you take a look at the weapon comparison, you can easily identify that the SCAR-L isn't more accurate on short/medium/long range compared to the G36C. Especially if you're going to fire in F/A, you'll see that the G36C is far superior in accuracy/deviation/recoil.

The SCAR-L is better in exactly 2 points: making 27 DMG per Shot (G36C = 25) and s shorter reloadtime by 0.1 second.

Get used to the Ironsight and after a while you're going to kill everything with the G36C - especially SCAR-L users that trust their Red Dot Sight.

Thats going to take some explaining seeing as the scar l has min deviation of 0.22 compared to g36c 0.2, deviation added per shot of 0.23 compared to g36c 0.2 and worse prone benefit. The g36c is slightly more accurate in every type of situation. The only popular beleif in this situation that is false is the insignificance of the 27 damage which does infact make a difference in that it requires 6 shots to an armoured part to drop a soldier compared to g36c 7. (The bf2s weapons stats is wrong)

I don't like dotted scopes. I think that the dot is not lined up correctly with the centre of the screen.

so? the deviation added per shot of the scar l means it rapidly gets less accurate than the g36c. full auto is when the scar l suffers the most.

I am more used to the SCAR-L, but seeing as I now prefer both of the other G36's I am learning to use the G36C more and liking it! Whether or not it is better is another issue...it depends on the situation. Probably (just) the G36C!

The Scar-L is better in CQC due to it's higher damage of 27.
