i can't remember my 1st time playing the real thing but i can remember the demo...trying to get airborne in an F-35 lol. even when battlefield 2 did come out i made progress of getting in the air and STAYING in the air bit by bit. i was so proud when i got off the carrier!...then crashed 15 seconds later.

FuShe, because i wanted to try out the chineese chopper. i was used to the demo so i wanted to see the new vehicles.
My First map was Sharqi. I rememeber Spawning at the MEC heli spawn and getting in, got off about 2 feet then flipped the dam thing. I did that about 3 times, then i said fuck it and jumped in the Vodnik. I then drove around on the dam road thinking where the fuck am i. I saw the huge crane and i'm like sweet, i'm gonna climb that shit and snipe people. So i climbed it.. got like 1 kill and died.. and then died, and then died..and then i soon discovered Wake island, which was the second map i went on. I stuck with that one.
Lets just say there was many pissed of ppl on the carrier cause i couldn't fly for shit. I remember thinking these Fucking jets and helis are impossible to fly, Now i just rape in them and stick with Wake all the time. Many fun moments on that map, and alot of Gayass TKers moments too.

Gulf. I bought the game like in late june or so. Logged in the first time on gulf at the river fort and started walking around. Very soon I realized that you can not shoot while in water and that some cliffs I would need a jetpack or so. As I had some serious problems loggin into the game and this was pissing me off, I quit gaming BF2 after like 1/2 hour. And I did not touch the game till mid november. But since then I am seriously addicted

my first map was kubra dam i was a sniper on MEC team i went to the south side dam crane i got no kills lol
Karkand
Besides the demo, Songhua Stalemate. The first round I played online on the demo I can't remember, but my first Songhua game was crazy. I couldn't see anywhere, (i had sucky vid card) and ran around on foot the entire time.
Songhua for me. the first thing i did was launch a grenade into a friendly car. I stood still until the guy respawned, found me, and tk'd and verbally abused me. i thought hmmmmm....ok. walked around for a bit (in an out of the way place) to get used to the controls, and then disconnected to play singleplayer until i understood what was going on....
Hmm.. I think Dalian... maybe Gulf.

Well I started on Karkand because I saw 3 flags in a row. I had a nividia 5200 video card and 512 RAM and decided that I could play on a 64 player server on all mediums without lag......
After a month I started playing the game(after a hell of alot of fun in BF1942) on all low settings on idk what map.
Anyone else notice that the demo was much smother then the final game.
I could play that on either high or medium settings and have no lag at all except joining.

Gulf of Oman
My first was Mashturr. First thing I did was get commander... but I didn't know how to open the commander screen and i got mutinied
I remember finally getting patch 1.2 downloaded and playing online, when I saw all the servers and the different maps I was like OMGWTFBBQSAUCE!! I joined the first one I saw, which was dragon valley 64, I looked at the map, and I saw all the flags, I thought to myself, "wow I dont remember this map being in SP, someone must have taken the original and added alot of flags!" I then thought, that if it was a custom than the game must frickin rock to be able to download maps while they are loading ect.
Then I got in, spawned at wood yard and saw an apc nearby, I quickly ducked into the nearby grass at the AA thinking it wouldnt see me...............I got killed
Shortly after,I was kicked for high ping *I was a noob so I didnt know about ping, aussie servers ect*
Excited to play more, I joined another server, Dalian plant, As soon as I spawned I got my first kill, I saw an enemy and gunned him down with my trusty M-16
The rest is a haze, but I remember it, I just cant remember it, if that makes any sense

My friend had BF2 too and he said Karkand was his favourite map, so when i brought the game, i played Karkand. MAN did i hate that map at the time. All the spawnraping and stuff. Next i moved to Wake.

When I first played I initially started a single player game on Dalain.
My first Multiplayer game was Sharqi. It's strange how unreckognisable it was back then. I remember telling my two mates, (who were also playing for the first time,) to stick close together because I didn't know where the fuck anything was.

Spawned at the Mec Airfield hopped in the seat of a Jeep (don't remember which kind).
I was on the .50 and I had a Italian driver talking up a storm on the voip (don't currently understand Italian that well) we were driving up that dirt road going to the Power Station when a Attack Heli started to shoot at us. I gunned it down with the .50 (My first 2 kills).
And all of a sudden my Italian driver yelled something and then we tumble off that side of the Power Station down to the Lower Dam flag nose first and blow up as gravity introduces our jeep to the cement below.
I, at that moment thought to myself .....
"Bitchin!!!! I Like it!"

Gulf Of Oman single player....Then I realised my GFX card was a peice of shit and couldn't play it....so I was walking around hearing tanks move around me then boomand I would hear something about dying.....Couldn't actually see through the artifacts.....Fuck that was Teh shit0rz.
