- high points or infantry allowed or not?
i think Infantry Only is not allowed.
but high points are allowed because its just low players on a big map.

Yeah, high points and infantry servers are allowed.
I like high points servers just b/c you can get into the game more, it's more intense. When it's a server with the correct ratio of people (16 players on 16 player maps, etc) the rounds just go very quickly and you can't really get into it and it's much less fun
that's my .02 anyway

ok thanks, i wish it was on the official battlefield 2 site what kind of servers are ok. ill make sure i avoid them, i know knife and pistols arent allowed but some arent so clear or publicised for more casual gamers to know about, imo anyway

wtf? high points servers are considered "stat's padding"?
wtf is that?
see, according to that link u gave me they are not allowed as well as knife and pistol, so they arent allowed then? thats confusing, cus when i was searching to find out more, alot infact the majority seem to think high points servers are ok
Yep. And I always thought FF : 0 Was against Rules. ROE gets Updated, If you look at the last Update, It was About 2 Days Ago.

some of those reward requirements are ridiculous without going on high points servers. and i dont see nothing wrong with them either, your just playing the game exactly the same, its just a longer round, so whats the problem
QFE. this is not the only case where people could be doing something against the ROE without even knowing the fucking thing exists, and risk getting their stats reset. the ROE is a fucked up way to deal with the potential to exploit this game.ericcartmanisbest wrote:

If they don't want you to be able to do stuff, they should code it that way, not draw up some bullshit ROE.
my 2c.
I know knife and pistol are against the ROE.
I also know of a squad who run their ranked server with FF off. I quizzed them about it, and apparently whilst EA would like you to run a ranked server with FF on, its not required.
As for 'high point' servers, I couldnt care too much. Personally I prefer the larger maps with fewer players (32 on 64 works) as otherwise it tends to become a bit crowded with not much room for movement.

Holy crap everyone I've seen has broken EVERY SINGLE RULE in that ROE, LOL!!! I don't really see EA taking advantage of that situation anytime soon either... unLESS they start implementing 24/7 moderator service from EA directly like some kind of MMO or something but still, I've looked over the whole ROE thing... and I have NO idea how many times I've seen these ones though:
§2.1 You may not use any offensive or sexually explicit language in chat or voice mode.
§2.2 You may not use foul or slanderous language involving race, gender, sexual preference, religion or creed.
§2.3 You may not deliberately hinder your own team or acting in such as way as to cause team mates unavoidable deaths or team losses.
====
To begin to try and describe all sorts of chaos coming from these 3 rules alone is a pain to my gaming experience and wish something could be done there.

I think the most players don't know what high point servers are.
1. Infantry only servers are not allowed
2. High point servers are not allowed
A high point server is NOT a server with a 64 player map and a limited of e.g. 20 players. A high point server is a server, where e.g. an admin says to cap only one flag to stop the ticket bleed and therefore increasing the round time.

^^ Exactly.
If by high point you mean a normal server playing a 64 player map but limited to 16 players (or so) then they're fine, I believe. The ones that are against RoE are the ones that have ridiculously high ticket counts, round times etc.
But don't take my word on it, I'm a big green $ sign to EA and that's about it. I'll ask the guys from RoE on totalbf2 for ya
Avarice

Players on a ranked server can agree to not use tanks, arty etc BUT servers admins may not hinder anyone in using them. Admins hindering flag caps and thereby removing ticket bleed is also disallowed.
Just join an infantry server and play as you would normally - if u get kicked/banned, report them.

If servers where are no tanks, arty, choppers and planes allowed are not allowed, EA(who I hate) should create maps with no arty, tanks, choppers and planes cause in these servers players skills have some use cause you don't get armor, plane, chopper whored all the time and don't get spawnkilled all the time by tanks and arty.
I've never read the ROE btw
>>>BF3 Central<<<
If they can't allow it, they should make it an option to take away certain vehicles in a server then, I don't think it'd be that hard to change something up like that... though that means we might all have to download a new patch or something if that happened LOL but still, it could be done couldn't it?
I mean EA's done everything else to the game to make it better or for worse, how could this be any different really? I'm all for it and saying EA should do that for BF2, to have servers opt what can be had in a specific server whatever the owner may like.
If not, they should release more maps that are truly infantry based without the dawning threat of some tank coming in to annihilate everything that moves and puts some people at a disadvantage over others. But I dunno, I just might be speculating.

If EA did that, and servers dedicated to running only those maps existed, I'd probably be there 95% of my playing time, the other 5% in Warlord and one of the other SF maps which name I've forgotten.Jussimies wrote:

They both are not allowed, infantry servers nor high point servers. Yes it's lame, weak, dumb and stupid. I know. But hey, what can you do about it?
Just play on em and wait for some lonely kid with a lot of zits to rat you at EA. Those kids should die. Damn those crybabies!
