Have you ever gone onto a server, seen all the flags capped by the other team except your base? On head-on assault maps like dalian or dawing
(*)Tips(*)
Most of the time, I see these huge defeats on big maps with few players, so you don't have to worry abut coming against an armada of armor when you approach a flag, although it's still possible.
Wanna be a sniper? Screw that. I love sniping, but this just aint the time. I've always seen one kit to be very balanced: Spec Ops. It's especially handy because you can hammer nails with the G36C, nades are handy and unsuspecting tanks are fun to blow up. Medic would be ok, but anti-armor capabilities are much worth the absence of medipacks.
When approaching a flag, check for the usual claymores and c4 but also pay attention for UAV, moreso then normal. On these big maps with small people, it's the commanders job to keep an eye on the remote flags that you'll probobly be going for first. If he sees you, you'll be a methodic beeping in the rest of the enemy teams headphones. Now that you can see them in the skies, it's best to be aware of them. When you cap a flag, do not sit out in the open. but keep moving. Remote snipers (cough, SS, cough) will find you and shank you in the bunghole. That would hurt, and you just lost a flag.
(*)Example(*)
You join a game, and your team is losing miserably. But not all hope is lost. Be spec ops with the g36c (if you have it) and spawn at your main. At this point you might see tanks rolling in to spawn whore. DO NOT GO AFTER THEM. They cannot cap the base, you still have a spawnpoint. Hide, and get in the nearest and fastest transport vehicle you have at the base.
Drive to a remote flag first. On Daqing Oilfields, which would you go for? Gas Station or Refinery? How about Oil Cisterns? If you're PLA, you want the power station with the possibility of a tank for armor while you're capping. If US, you want the gas station for the same reason. Both are remote and easy to get to from your main. After you cap the flag, move on w/o the tank. You want mobility, not power and you're a less important target if you're driving around in a jeep.
Keep a transport vehicle with you, or request one from the commander. They have big guns and can move you around faster then your little leggies.
At this point, it's best to create a squad. If you have a nice commander, he'll be obliged to help you, if you do this right, you're the best player on the team. That also means you have squadmates if your team chooses.
Move on to another flag, capping all of the remote flags first. That will surround the enemy at the central flags. Either that, or you can cap flags nearest to your base to just try and force them out but that is often unsuccessful because that relies on force and strength your team so far has shown not to have.
Either way, both tactics need some ammount of force especially in the final moves to eliminate the enemy from the CPs.
If you're going for high W/L ratio despite the WCRs removed reqs, use this tactic on "high point" (big map not alot of players) servers. Sometimes high ranked/skilled players hop on there, but most of the time I see corporals/lance corporals in there, and the odd staff/gunnery sergeant. I thought this would be the other way around but maybe it's just today.
I hope this guide helped
