My longest confirmed by Books was 502m, Logitek w/ dont_be_ss's skills this shot is quite easily achieved especially seeing how he is the expert for sniping on Wake as well. There's no photoshopping going on whatsoever.

its 450m to the flag, sorry i had them toggled off at the time, i went to his spot and i was 49m to the flag, so about 400m.
he was laying down by the building a few meters towards the flag from the sand bags.

i hit a guy in a boat going away (not in sight) from at least 520m but i make plenty of shots daily sniping across the bay at Wake 07. at between 400 and 500 surprisingly its not that tough, i can even hit leads from there... not with the L9 tho, the m95 is better

I've never bothered trying to tweak my settings to get max possible draw distance, I just have everything maxed out.
I've finished HL2 Ep1, just going through the commentary mode atm. I might play BF2 tonight.
HL2 Ep1 was a bit shorter than I would have liked, but nontheless a good game.

have you noticed your getting better shots since you played with me ss.lol to the guy who thinks its fake ive seen him do a similar shot before so i know its posssible. the longest shot ive ever done was 750m in an abram from the road next to the hill outpost(cant remeber its name) to the outpost with the heli pad on dragon valley.

It was from the rock of the arty island to the north village,the guy I hit was standing next to one of the huts and I just shot out of suspicion,he could have been a shadow of a tree as well.
I don't know the range of this shot but it was quite a distance.And I used the M24,old-school....
I think I gotta fiddle a bit with my settings,your viewing distance is amazing,close to unfair advantage.

Yeah i was there wicked sick shot m8, was pretty funny the guy had no clue and we most have killed him. about 10 times after aswell was a laugh.
Took out one dude once on the carrier on wake from the North base. I just fired randomly into the fog. Man was i happy when i got him!
ive made a shot like that a few times, juz coz i snipe at the same spot all the time and know how far above i have 2 aim, no 1 shot kills tho, either assists or 2 body shots, fells so good tho!

Wake Island is best for those distance shots! I love playing as a USMC sniper on the tiny island and nailing people running from the base closest to the peninsula. It's really not that difficult if you snipe on a regular basis. You just have to account for the bullet drop and lead a hair sometimes. If they aren't sprinting, they're good as dead! The sprinters are a little more difficult tho at that distance. Sometimes I swear I Know I hit them and they should have died, but I'll see an assist message after a F35 bombing run or artie drop.
It's especially satisfying when sniping the pesky machine gunners out othe FAVS and tanks and even better when you catch the other snipers huddled around the AA launcher and the palm trees around the first base!

Before I registered, the image was full screen, If you blow it up and look at the victims name or through it you can easily see the background is black not blue like the water behind it! It is really obvious in the number 5(part of the name), And I dont need to adjust my resolution because all you need to do is look at other screen shots in these forums and you can see that the letters in the image dont have a different background color.
Example: for the blind
If the image is of blue sky with letters and numbers then looking through the letters and numbers, you will see the sky"blue" background.
If the image is of a "tan" colored building, then the background colors behind the letters and numbers will be "tan"
The letters posted on this image have a "black" background, even though the name is in front of the "blue water"
One last example: what is the wallpaper color of this post ? black right!
Then what color Is inside of the letter "O" <------- that I just typed. Its not blue now is it ?
I'm not saying this guy is not good, I believe he IS a great sniper, maybe he is the best in the world! All I'm saying is blow up the freakin image and look closer.
