Question: How long does it freeze for you when you take a screenshot?  For me it takes at least probably 3-5 seconds...

so i usually avoid taking them so i dont die...

thanks

Agreed its so much easier plus you can even take vids too if you have a good machine going on.

Interesting question, because I'm wondering if there's a change with 1.3. Took a couple of shots yesterday and had 1-2 seconds freezing before I could see what I was doing. And that's a lot when you're driving a vehicle and taking a turn at the same time. Usually I have much shorter freeze time.

Same here, on my crappy rig there's a good 5-7 second pause after hitting Print Screen.

I still do it often though, I figure capturing the amazing kill(s) on JPEG is worth the death.

2 seconds. What sucks is that it never saves my screens of the loading screens (like best scores in round, gold stars, etc).

^ Yeah, for that I suggest FRAPS or, if you're afraid that it'll sap system resources, paste the screenshot of the best scores/gold stars/whatever into Paint and save.  Sorta ghetto, but it'll work.  Although it will save as a 32-bit color bitmap, which at 1280 x 1024 is a big-ass 3.5 MB image file. Oh well.

If you use XFire you can use that as well, by pressing Scroll Lock + S.

EVERYONE on earth should use fraps.  its simply the best wee prog for snapping pics, making vids, recording sound, showing frames per sec.... yaddayaddayadda

that's why I suggest using fraps too for taking screenshots, it takes no resources when ran in background and screenshots go without any noticing
